A Hard Topic

I could really use some pho(Vietnamese noodle soup) today. I'm writing up my final draft of my research on the long term environmental effects of the death camps like Auschwitz and its quite disturbing. I can only be clinical with this research for so long. So I've done the research, but procrastinated on compiling it. When I write, I try to put a face on the story. To humanize the numbers. And on this one, I'm reminded of a character in the movie, Schindler's List, the little girl in the red coat. And its tragic. How to drive home the fact that souls, lives, snuffed out by Zyklon B became poisonous fertilizer and that the death camps could still be killing people today? The image of small children that have been medically experimented on, mentally disabled that have been gassed, disease infested political prisoners, all unceremoniously dumped into mass graves... What happens to them after the field has grown over? Surely there is an impact on the local ecology. But what? There isn't enough research (in English anyway) to support my theory, but I really feel like this is an issue that bears researching, no matter how difficult. My only question now is, do I have the stomach to continue?
